Rukiya Roots was never a planned business as such but rather naturally came about from a genuine love of travel and Africa. Our journey in the travel industry began in 2008 and since then we have worked in a number of lodges across Southern Africa, from ultra luxurious lodges to wilderness camping trails. Since 2015 we have been running our own lodges. From our relationships within the in travel industry we were approached by an international agent to handle the planning of all their clients Southern Africa trips and it is through this, combined with our love to explore Africa with our own family that Rukiya Roots came about. Whilst we have been working business to business for a while we, we have recently decided to extend our travel planning other travel companies as well as direct to travellers. Our way of sharing some of the hidden gems in Africa that we have found.
